Start of Polish industry promotion programs

Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) has launched a project, which allows Polish companies promotion of their products and services abroad during trades and other brand events as well as expansion on markets outside EU. On majority of these markets, promotional activities of Polish entrepreneurs will be supported with information and media activities that will strengthen the promotional message.

Project “Promotion of Polish economy based on Polish brands – Polish Economy Brand” is dedicated to companies which are planning foreign expansion. Based on the analysis of trends and potential of selected markets, Ministry of Economic Development chose 12 priority sectors of Polish economy, which have the best chances for becoming successful internationally. Among them we can include: furniture, fashion (including jewellery), yachts and boats, cosmetics, medical equipment, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, construction and finishing of buildings materials, machinery and equipment, automotive and aerospace parts (for which PAIH is responsible). Food and IT/ICT sectors as well as pro-health services are coordinated respectively by the National Agriculture Support Centre, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and Polish Tourism Organization.

– The program gives Polish companies huge opportunities for entering the markets that they could not penetrate – in far Asia, Europe as well as Africa and Latin America. I am sure that the national booths not only expand the PAIH offer but, most importantly, will increase the recognition of Polish products abroad – PAIH president Tomasz Pisula noticed.

For the next two years, PAIH will be responsible for the project including the preparation of national stands at over 100 major fair and events in 23 countries (61 in 2018 and 38 in 2019), networking with representatives of nine sectors and organization of incoming missions in Poland for foreign entrepreneurs and journalists.

Under the program, it is also planned to create a national stand. The space will be designed in such a manner that Polish entrepreneurs will be able to conduct meetings there, as well display their promotional films or share printed materials or other promotional gadgets. The project also includes special, separated space for the presentation of Polish regions. Additionally, nine websites dedicated to each industry will be launched:

Those entrepreneurs, who are interested in promoting their products and services during the fairs, are encouraged to fill in the application forms available on websites dedicated to each industry.

– The development of innovative companies and their foreign expansion are one of the key assumptions of the Strategy for Responsible Development. Polish entrepreneurs are undoubtedly the driving force of our economy. Their products are characterized by very high quality and innovation and can become the flagship brands, positively associated with our country. Therefore, together with the Agency, we conduct activities that aim at providing comprehensive support for prospective industries of Polish export – Deputy Minister of Economic Development Tadeusz Kościński sums up.

The inauguration of industry promotion programs took place on December 6th, 2017 at the PAIH headquarters. See a presentation about the project (PL).

Support for promotional activities for entrepreneurs will be financed from the EU Smart Growth Program.
