Trade receivables insurance – Policy for the East managed by Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE) provides:
- protection against delays in settling liabilities, insolvency of contractors or as well as against the risk of sudden changes in the political and economic environment in the buyer’s country;
- insurance coverage adapted to operations on highly-risk markets;
- indemnity guaranteed by the State Treasury;
- collection of all receivables from insured contractors;
- effective debt collection free of charges;
- solid evaluation of the buyer’s financial standing and creditworthiness - free of charge.
The insurance Policy for the East covers 59 countries based in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, including:
- Afghanistan;
- Albania;
- Belarus;
- Georgia;
- Iran;
- Iraq;
- Kazakhstan;
- Macedonia;
- Nigeria;
- Russian;
- Serbia;
- Ukraine;
- Vietnam.

The premium (payable in monthly instalments) is the only cost incurred by the company during the insurance policy.
Assessment of the buyer’s credit worthiness and collection of insured receivables is free of charges.

What are the requirements?
Policy for the East is dedicated to all companies whose exported goods or services meet the criteria of Polish content.
Please note that, the maximum payment term (trade credit) for the delivered goods and services rendered cannot exceed two years.

What are the stages?
Policy for the East works in few steps:
- Assessment of buyer’s credit worthiness – proceeded by a team of analysts on the basis of your insurance form and the credit limit submitted in the insurance.
- Conclusion of an insurance agreement for 12 months and payment of the insurance premium (monthly).
- Delivery of goods or services and payment by a buyer.
- If the buyer fails to complete the payment, you need to ask KUKE to initiate debt collection.
- Indemnification, if the debt collection will not bring the demanded effects.

What's next?
The insurance contract is concluded on the basis of submitted application. Considering the data included in the form and risk assessment, KUKE determines detailed insurance conditions. The insurance contract is concluded for 12 months with the possibility of an automatic extension.
