What are the requirements?
Micro-, small or medium enterprises can participate in the contest, if they run business in Poland and it is proved by the entry to the proper register.
What are the stages?
In order to take part in the program you need to fill in the application form and provide basic company details. You will also be asked to choose one of consultants, who will provide you with guidance for your project. Thanks to the interview with the consultant, you will determine what problems your company is facing.
You can also talk directly to the selected consultant, without filling out the form. The consultants’ profiles are available on a dedicated website.
Upon completion of this stage, you will work with a consultant, who will identify the problems of your company, and next – after consulting you – define the nature of company and present an action plan.
The cooperation with consultant will take about 10 working hours. It will result in:
- identification of problems and providing solutions for them;
- preparation of an action plan and directing the entrepreneur to continue cooperation with a mentor
- or preparation of a diagnosis and directing the entrepreneur to an advisor, who will assist you in restructuration process or will suggest to close the company (as a last resort).
The cooperation with a consultant is free. However, if the consultant advises you to contact restructuring advisor, the first two hours of its services are provided free of charge and further cooperation will be agreed individually – between you and the advisor.
In the final stage of the program, you will be directed to mentors – experienced entrepreneurs who will help you to overcome the problems faced by your company. The consultant will take into account both the complexity of the company and mentor’s experience and will help you in selecting the right expert – tailored to your needs.
Cooperation with a mentor is free.

Responsible subjects
Early Warning program was initiated in Denmark, where, thanks to volunteer work of mentors, many companies have emerged from the crisis. The program now covers more than a dozen European countries.
The program is implemented by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, which coordinates consultants’ work, and Firmy Rodzinne Foundation, which coordinates mentors’ work.
