What will you gain?
The winners of the competition will receive financial support in the form of grant to purchase a license or rights for an innovative technology.
Grant may be appropriated within:
- regional investment aid
- or de minimis aid.
A grant may be obtained to finance any costs related to acquisition of:
- patents
- know-how
- and other intellectual property rights i.e patent applications, utility models, utility models applications, industrial designs, industrial designs applications, copyrights, rights to protected species of flora, topography of integrated circuits.

What are the requirements?
You can participate in the contest if you fulfill the following criteria:
- you are a representative of a micro-, small or medium enterprise;
- you run a business in Poland;
- the selected technology is included in at least one National Smart Specialization (pl. Krajowe Inteligentne Specjalizacje, KIS);
- you can cover at least 25% of eligible costs (the maximum acceptable grant level in the program amounts 70% of acquisition technology costs).
The value of eligible costs is min. PLN 100,000, the maximum value has not been determined.
The maximum project co-financing amount is EUR 200,000.
Regardless of whether you are applying for a grant under regional investment aid or de minimis aid, by submitting an application you agree to implement technology, which means that you will launch a production or a service based on this technology. It is important to note that the cost of implementing the technology is not covered by the grant.

What are the stages?
In order to apply for the programme, you need to fill in the application form available on a project website and forward it to the Industrial Development Agency (ARP):
- in written form with necessary attachments;
- and – simultaneously – in electronic form on the e-mail address: [email protected] (scan of the signed application without attachments).

The applications are evaluated in two stages: formal and substantive assessment.
1. Formal evaluation
Formal evaluation is conducted within fifteen working days from the day of delivery of your application. Your application will be verified in terms of its completeness as indicated in criteria stipulated in: "The Procedure Guide”.
The list of all applications which will pass formal evaluation will be published on the program's website within two working days.
3. Substantive evaluation stage
If your application is assessed positively during formal stage, it will be subjected to substantive evaluation which proceeds as follows:
- within 10 working days from registration of application in ARP:
- the expert – verifies whether the technology from application fulfills the innovation criterion;
- the analyst – checks in terms of ability of the applicant to implement and maintain the results of the project and its cost-effectiveness;
- within 15 working days from registration of application in ARP:
- the valuer – verifies if the valuation of the technology is correct.
Please note that, if you are asked to submit an explanation for any of the above steps, you have seven working days to provide it.

What's next?
The list of applications qualified for signing the grant agreement will be published on the program website within 15 working days of the completion of the substantive assessment of all applications.
If your application is on the list, you will be asked to complete the documentation within five working days – a list of required documents is available below. At that stage the last step is: signing the contract!
