Cross EUWBA enables you to present your business idea in front of experienced experts, Business Angels and investors. After a successful pitching session you can obtain financing necessary for development. During the project you will also take part in trainings and networking sessions.

Participation in the program will allow you to:

• discuss key business issues with experts;
• develop skills necessary for pitching sessions;
• present your startup to Business Angels who are looking for projects like yours.

It depends on you, in which language you apply to program, and in which country you will be having meetings connected to it (online option is also available).

In order to take part in the program, you need to represent a startup at the early stage of development (existing less than three years). You need to have the full copyrights of the idea or innovation, at least until the pitching day.

Cross EUWBA program provides support for women's startups, that fulfil one of the following condition:

• the startup founder is a woman; 
• the startup manager is a woman;
• women are the target consumers of company products and services.

The participation in the project is free, but the participants bear the costs of commuting, accommodation and food.

To take part in Cross EUWBA program, you need to fill in the application form and send it to the address [email protected]. The call for application is an ongoing process.

The application form may be submitted in English, Polish, German, Spanish, Greek and Slovakian.

The process of project selection consists of three stages:

• First Stage – your application form will be analysed;
• Second Stage – selected startups will be invited for an interview;
• Third Stage –  your startup will be evaluated by the Expert Panel based on the application form and the interview. 

All projects, which pass the first stage of evaluation, will be invited to the aforementioned interview. The interview consists of short presentation of your project (up to 5 minutes) and  Q&A session (up to 20 minutes). The interviews are held in one of the following countries: Poland, Germany, Spain, Greece or Slovakia. They may be conducted also online.

During the Third Stage, the Expert Panel will examine:

• qualitative assessment of the business model/ business justification;
• skills of the team;
• involvement of the team in the project;
• innovativeness/competitive advantages;
• financial viability of the undertaking;
• possibility of legal protection of the project;
• transparency of ownership structure and management.

Startups which gain the highest rate from the Expert Panel will be invited to present their idea to investors and mentors during pitching sessions.

Pitching sessions will be held with presence of at least six Business Angels and VC investors. Pitching is divided into 10 minutes company presentation, 15 minutes Q&A session and two hours networking session involving all startups and investors/mentors. If your application is assessed positively, you will have the chance to present your idea to Business Angels. 

Next pitching session in Warsaw will be held on:

• 17 October;
• 7 November.

Cross EUWBA is also searching for businesswomen and Business Angels. Businesswomen will receive necessary preparation for the role of Angels, while the Angels – the access to investors network and  projects which fit their requirements. The program does not impose requirements on your proposal – agreements regarding your involvement and cooperation with Business Angels depends only on you.
