The competition is meant to build awareness of Polish brands and to promote and support the development of the most innovative products or technologies produced in Poland. In the twenty-year history of the initiative, over 900 innovative projects were submitted, from such industries as: medical, pharmaceutical, and chemical.

The rules of the competition

Research units, entrepreneurs and consortia consisting of a scientific unit and entrepreneurs operating in Poland may apply to the competition. Participants are obliged to present presenting a new, innovative product (product or technology) in one of three categories:

• Product of the Future of a scientific unit;
• Product of the Future of the entrepreneur;
• Product of the Future of a joint scientific unit and entrepreneur.

Products that are developed at least up to the implementation stage or are in production stage up to 24 months before the submission date of the competition may be submitted for the competition.

The first stage of the competition consists of collecting business entries and ends on 19 October this year at 16.30. The second stage starts from the date of announcing the list of at the award gala – the winners will have 3 weeks to submit the grant application.

Awards

In each category, one prize and maximum four distinctions are awarded. Apart from the right to use in the correspondence and in the promotion of the sign and the slogan – Polish Product of the Future, the winners will be given the opportunity to obtain a grant for the development, promotion or internationalization of the product. The winners can apply for a grant up to PLN 100,000 while the awarded up to PLN 25,000. The above prizes are also provided with special prizes:

• for the product submitted by a young (less than three years on the market) and an innovative entrepreneur;
• for a product in the information and communication technologies (ICT) industry;
• for a product in the area of eco-innovation or other areas that will be identified during the assessment of the products submitted.

It is possible to obtain an advance payment of up to 40% of the grant's value. The maximum value of the grant amounts 85% of the eligible costs.
