School of Pioneers has been launched – an international educational program for young technological visionaries from all over Poland

Recruitment to PFR School of Pioneers has just started – an innovative educational program of Polish Development Fund for young, future entrepreneurs in the sectors of new technologies. During three weeks of intensive workshops and a one-week stay at the University of Cambridge in Great Britain, 50 participants will develop theoretical and practical business skills under the supervision of outstanding trainers. The program was created and implemented with the involvement of the partners of PFR School of Pioneers, i.e. Allegro, TDJ and PFR Foundation.

Research of Polish young innovative companies shows that Polish entrepreneurs have high analytical, mathematical and technical skills, but at the same time they lack the competence to build a business strategy, marketing or international expansion. PFR School of Pioneers is addressed to people from all over Poland aged from 20 to 35 who are working on their career path and are interested in new technologies, technical skills development and they want to develop – with the help of practitioners – their business competences. The aim of program is to strengthen those key competences needed for the development of innovative enterprises among young people. Cooperation with the University of Cambridge is to provide the transfer of knowledge to Poland, which can be used by dynamic and entrepreneurial people – both from large Polish cities and small centers. This is the first edition of the program, which is to be continued in the future and it is aimed to serve in the long term to strengthen the Polish innovation ecosystem and the development of entrepreneurship, which is an important goal of the so-called Morawiecki plan.

Workshops will be held in Warsaw and are prepared by content partners of the program. They are based on a model of activities, inspired by the modern educational methods. Among partners we can differentiate large technology companies, startups with recorded successes and experts in innovative sectors.

Supervision over the substantive layer of the program is managed by the Program Board, which includes i.e.: Eliza Kruczkowska – Chief Innovation Officer at PFR, Damian Zapłata – Chief Commercial Officer at Allegro and Oliwia Kwiatkowska – Managing Partner at TDJ Foundation. The members of the Board also include internationally recognized representatives of the world of science, modern trends and start-ups.
