PFR Ventures has already invested PLN 1 billion in VC funds, which will be offering repayable financing to innovative projects at various stages of development – from the earliest (even before the first commercial sale) to foreign expansion.

A full list of 21 VC funds which passed a demanding selection process and signed investment agreements was announced at a press conference that was held on 8 November at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Eight of them can start soon the investment process because they have already met all the formal requirements imposed by the KNF and the UOKIK.

The VC funds that have entered the investment portfolio of PFR Ventures operate under one of five separate programs:

• PFR Starter: ArkleyBrinc, EEC Magenta Starter, Ventures For Earth, Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, KnowledgeHub, Xevin VC, bValue, Biomed Innovations;
• PFR Biznest: Next Road Ventures, Pomerangels, Cofounder Zone, Black Swan, Kogito Ventures, SILBA;
• PFR Open Innovations: APER Ventures, Montis Capital;
• PFR KOFFI: Finch Capital, Cogito Capital Partners, Innovation Nest;
• PFR NCBR CVC: SpeedUp Energy Innovation, EEC Magnet CVC.

Among the industries of the greatest interest, it is possible to indicate: medicine, IoT and fintech. There are also six international teams – they are investors who have noticed the investment potential in Poland. PFR Ventures has funds amounting to PLN 2.5 billion, which along with private capital from Business Angels and corporations in the amount of PLN 0.5 billion will be allocated to the development of Polish startups.
